Filamu
mpya kabisa iliyoigizwa na kinara Leonardo Di Caprio, “The Revenant,” simulizi ya mtu jasiri anayelipiza kisasi, imekuwa
kinara kwenye Ushindani wa tunzo za Oscar zilizotangazwa hapo jana, Nchini
Marekani.
Filamu
hiyo imepata nafasi 12 za kushindania tuzo za Oscar Academy, ikiwemo ile ya
picha bora (Jongefu) ya mwaka, Muongozaji Bora, na Uchezaji bora wa Mastaa Leonardo DiCaprio na Tom Hardy.
Ikifuatana
kwa ukaribu zaidi na Filamu ya kisa cha Kupambania kuishi, “Mad Max: Fury Road” imepata nafasi 10 za kuwania
tuzo hizo za Utaalamu wa Filamu ikiwemo ya Filamu Bora, na Muongozaji Bora, mwenye
uraia wa Australia aliyepumzika kwenye tasnia hiyo kwa miaka mitatu sasa kabla
ya kuongoza filamu hiyo.
Jumla ya
filamu nane zimechaguliwa kushiriki kuwania tuzo ya Filamu Bora ikiwemo “Spotlight,” “The Martian,” “Bridge of
Spies,”(007 James Bond) “The Big Short,”
“Room,” na kuhitimishwa na “Brooklyn” .
Kwa mara
nyingine tena, Wapigaji kura wa tuzo hizo wamepokea malalamiko kutoka sehemu
mbalimbali duniani kuhusiana na muelekeo wao wa kuamua nani ashiriki tuzo hizo
au laa, huku akikosekana muigizaji bora wa kiume mwenye asili ya kiafrika/mmarekani
mweusi hata mmoja.
Malalamiko
hayo kutoka kwa wadau wa filamu duniani ambayo yamekuwa yakisambaa kwenye
mitandao mbalimbali ya kijamii ikiwemo Twittter dakika chache baada ya
kutangazwa washindani hapo jana jioni, yamekuwa yakizihusisha filamu nzuri na
zenye ubora wa pekee kama vile “Concussion”
(will smith) “Creed”( Michael B. Jordan), “Chi-raq” na “Beast of No Nation”
(Idris Elba) zikikosa nafasi ya ushindani huku zikiwakilishwa na filamu pekee
ya “Straight Outta Compton” yenye vijana wengi weusi, kwenye kundi la Original
Screenplay pekee.
Malalamiko
hayo yalidai uhalali huo kuwa ni mwaka wa pili sasa, tangu mwaka jana ambapo
filamu stahiki iitwayo “Selma” ikiongozwa na Ava Du vernay iliyoigizwa na David
Eyewolo kushindwa kushindana.
Malalamiko
hayo hayakuishia hapo, yalikwenda mbali zaidi nakudai kuwa Mafanikio ya Mauzo ya
kihistoria kwa filamu kinara, “Star Wars:
The Force Awakens” imekosa nafasi kushiriki kwenye filamu bora ya mwaka, na
badala yake kupata nafasi tano pekee kwenye ushindani wa kiufundi (technical
categories) hasahasa kwenye upande wa Sauti,
Uhariri (Editing), na visual effects.
Filamu
nyingine zilizotemwa kwenye kinyanganyiro cha Best Picture ni “Straight Outta Compton,” stori
maarufu ya kuanzishwa kwa kikundi cha muziki wa hip-hop; na “Creed” ambayo
imeambulia nafasi moja ya Actor in a Supporting role (Sylvester Stallone) .
